Registration Info

Registration may be completed online
but a CORI form still needs to be signed by a representative of Girl Scouts with proof of identification.

To become a Girl Scout, members pay annual membership dues & activity fee of $40* (scholarships available).  Annual membership is valid October 1st through September 30th of the following year.  Once registered, girls can participate in troops or as individuals.  All Girl Scout programs are designed around age-appropriate level which meet girls' developmental, educational, emotional and social needs as they grow.

  • Girl Scout Daisy, grades K-1
  • Girl Scout Brownie, grades 2-3
  • Girl Scout Junior, grades 4-5
  • Girl Scout Cadette, grades 6-8
  • Girl Scout Senior, grades 9-10
  • Girl Scout Ambassador, grades 11-12
  • Troops are small, self-governing working groups with at least four registered girls and two registered, unrelated adults. Individual troops set their own meeting schedule, locations and goals.  Troops typically meet for 1-2 hours twice a month.  Most troops form as Daisy or Brownie troops and progress through the program levels as a unit.   As a result, every year we recruit for new leaders and other volunteers to form new troops.

Juilletes are girls who have registered individually.   They are eligible to participate in all service unit (town) event, council-wide programs, earn awards, go to camp and sell cookies.

    A note about dues:
    * The $40.00 annual membership/activity fees noted above goes directly to GSUSA & GSEM, which pays for accident insurance covering members participating in approved Girl Scout activities, program development, training, programs and camps provided by the local council.
Troop dues are decided by the troop. Dues cover the cost of awards, program supplies, snacks and other small items. Dues can be collected weekly, monthly or once a year. The amount and the collection schedule is determined by each troop.
